: I have to send my car (91 TT) to emission pretty soon, but I have taken all of my cat-converters out. Does anyone who has dealed with Random Technology with their aftermarket converter & downpipe before? Or does anyone know if Precat replacement would be enough to pass the emission or Back converters replacement also is needed for emission. can i only replace either Precat or back converters????

: (Dearler charges a lot!!!!)you shouldn't worry about the precats since they're only functional for cold startup. places test your vehicle when it's warmed up. if you don't have the main cats, you'll probably fail the NOX readings but there have been guys who've passed w/o any cats. you might be able to find used stock main cats available or you can go with the RT midpipes I sell (they have free flow cats installed but have larger diameter mandrel bent stainless steel piping :)
